La Mariposa Camping was the first campsite to be opened in Sardinia; it is located directly on the beautiful coast in the middle of the Riviera del Corallo, in a pine wood with eucalyptus and juniper trees. The campsite leads directly onto the wonderful white sand beach of the "Lido di Alghero".

Just one kilometre from Alghero, a pleasant Catalan town with one of the most fascinating historic town-centres of Sardinia, the camp site La Mariposa offers efficient services with a bar, grocery, self-service restaurant, washing machines, entertainment for children, and a private beach.

The campsite is renowned for its cleanness and the helpfulness, and courtesy of its staff. In addition to camping areas for tents, caravans, and motor caravans with electricity (there is a waste disposal station), the camping site also offers also rooms with 2 beds, bungalows for 4 persons (supplied with kitchen, refrigerator, kitchenware, linen, cost of light and gas included), mobile homes equipped with modern furniture and air conditioning (2 bedrooms, kitchenette with living area, refrigerator, kitchenware, linen, light, gas, bathroom and veranda) and "Villino" fully equipped brick mini-villas, with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room with kitchenette, refrigerator, kitchenware, linen, light, gas, external veranda with table and chairs).
