Thanks to the agreements between Federalberghi, the local Confcommercio and Porto Conte Park, a series of events have been created aimed at enhancing the protected area of Porto Conte and the Alghero area in general. The primary objective of the initiative was to enhance this stunning area even in the so-called shoulder periods, that is, those outside the high season.
The review called “Spring Emotions” concerns the 11 weekends preceding the flourishing summer season, placing the emphasis on a period of the year that, due to its colours, climate and traffic conditions, is one of the most favourable periods in which to spend a few days in Sardinia.
Thanks to this initiative, the enjoyment of Porto Conte Park is optimised in an original and interesting way. So, every weekend you will have a list of options to visit and enjoy the Park.
The visitor is involved in a 360-degree experience in a series of fun and exciting experiences. It ranges from agri-food to culture to sports.
Here is the detailed description of what this initiative consists of.
We start from Casa Gioiosa at the Park headquarters and from 9.30 in the morning you can take advantage of:
- access to Casa Gioisa with entrance to the botanical garden, the Museum of Prison Memory and the art exhibition on the “Little Prince” (tribute to Elio Pulli);
- walks through the village of Tramariglio with access to the Tower;
- walking or cycling routes around the coastal area of Capo Caccia;
- excursions to Cala della Barca, Monte Timidone;
- bike ride to Prigionette;
- kayak and dinghy excursions;
- dinghy and bike rental service;
- diving and snorkelling service;
- horseriding and speleology;
- use of the shuttle to Neptune’s Grotto
In addition, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy excellent tasting menus based on local products.
